Last night Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Glyndon and several career stations were dispatched for an apartment fire in Station 56’s area. Reisterstown initially responded with E413 and S414 along with the other first due companies. Engine 56 arrived first with fire through the roof and E413 took the back side of the apartment building. E413 advised there were multiple rescues. E413 and S414 threw ladders and safely brought everyone off of the balconies. Command requested a second alarm and an ALS strike team (4 medic units, another engine and another EMS Lieutenant). Crews worked for approximately 3 hours to get the fire under control and for salvage and overhaul.
During the response Station 41 had every piece of apparatus at the call: E412, E413, S414, SU418, U419 and M415.
