House Fire in Upperco

This morning Engine 413 and Squad 414 were alerted for a house fire with people unaccounted for up in Upperco. Engine 413 and S414 were the 2nd and 3rd arriving apparatus with smoke coming out from the eves. E851 and E413 pulled handlines in to put out the fire. S414 did secondary search, laddered the house and went to the roof to cut holes to check for fire. Crews were on scene for approximately an hour. Thankfully no one was in the house and everyone was accounted for.

Barn Fire in Carroll County

This afternoon Engine 412 along with other Baltimore County units were dispatched to a barn fire in Carroll County. E412’s crew assisted with fire attack and overhaul and were on scene for approximately 3 hours.

Then, this evening E413 was alerted for a rekindle of the barn fire. Crews from Baltimore County and Carroll County put out the rekindle.

House Fire in 56’s Area

This afternoon, E412 and S414 were alerted for a house fire in E56’s area. Apparatus from Station 41, 56 and other surrounding companies arrived to find a fire on the outside of the house that was impinging on the attic space. E56 made an attack on the fire assisted by E412’s crew. S414 threw ladders and assisted with other duties on the fire ground.

The fire was put out quickly and crews returned to service in less than an hour.

2021 Swearing-In

Last night the administrative and line officers for 2021 were sworn in by BCVFA Senior Vice President Chuck Bollinger and BCoFD Chief Rund. Many thanks to VP Bollinger and Chief Rund for coming out.

Along with the swearing in, suppression, EMS and paid staff 2020 awards were given out:
* Bill Franklin Sr (Spud), President’s Award
* Jeff Hale for firefighter of the year
* Nikki Fern for EMS provider of the year
* Josh Meyers for employee of the year

Toys for Tots & Food Drive

As the holidays draw near, the Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company is excited to be a collection site for Toys for Tots as well as non-perishable food donations for people in need.

Toys for Tots donations must be new, unwrapped toys in their original packaging. We will also be collecting new coats, hats, gloves and blankets.

All donations can be made through contactless drop off via the back entrance to our station. This area is covered to protect donations from the weather. Donation bins will be checked regularly or you can call the station to let us know when you drop items off.
